Is "Face-to-Face" Doomed?
Attitudinal trends show that the shift to direct (and away from in-person) purchasing continued to grow steadily in the past two decades. The number of US households (70 million) that purchased 1 of 20 major financial products directly (by mail, by phone, or online) in the past two years exceeds the number of households (66 million) that purchased products through an in-person transaction.
