Annual Preview/Review of Scan's Watch List of Defining Forces
The December issue of
Scan™ Monthly provides a quick review of various defining forces that Scan™ has surfaced in the past year along with a preview speculating about how each force may continue to evolve in the coming year. We take the opportunity provided by the annual review to assess the more than 1200 Scan abstracts that we've accumulated and analyzed during the year. Defining forces that we've surfaced during 2005 appear in the figure opposite. The layout of the figure indicates that none of the defining forces operate in isolation—they interrelate with each other and the rest of the commercial, technical, and cultural environments that they help define.
